

WOOD FAMILY SPIRITS ENGAGES EPICENTRIC TO FUEL CONTINUED GROWTH

Wood Family Spirits (WFS), a Hood River, Oregon based spirits brand, launched its first two products in 2022. Columbia Bourbon, a premium priced whiskey, was sold into 59 stores, and OG Vodka, a grape-based vodka made from Columbia River Valley grapes, was sold into 47 stores during 2022.

In mid-2023, WFS was in the midst of a very successful launch of their brand. With limited internal staff and occasional turnover in tasting positions, support from Epicentric was welcomed."
How Epicentric Responded
Epicentric responded to the opportunity by offering a reasonably priced tasting program designed to complement the existing WFS tasting team while expanding their reach. We trained our staff on the brand story and on effective techniques to drive bottle sales.
After a pilot in Q3, Epicentric executed 28 tastings during Q4, averaging 11+ bottle sales per tasting. During 50% of the tastings, at least one product sold out, generating restocking orders and excitement for the brand within the liquor stores.
Epicentric was also engaged during Q4 2023 to help with new store placements. We leveraged our liquor store relationships to secure placements in stores well-suited to WFS products.

Through the efforts of the internal team, along with support from Epicentric, the brand’s two products saw 303% (Bourbon) and 273% (Vodka) year over year growth in 2023.
Further integration of the Epicentric service offering is underway in 2024. A specialized service offering has been designed to meet the needs of Wood Family Spirits, with Epicentric services engaged in ways that will complement and support the work performed by the internal team.
